Since the Yen has been high lately, I’ve been wanting to buy.. anything from JP to take advantage.
I’ve been looking at rims a lot since I was sure I’d save more than buying locally, and obviously the range and goodness is much better.
I bid (via Streeter of course) on some Work Equip, 13x6J +10,
I was outbid on these, which was kinda alright since It went a bit higher then I wanted anyway.
Looked around a bit more and found some 13×5.5J +15 with less days left, lower start bid, and no bids yet.
Put a bid in a start and eventually won with no other bidders 😀
They should be leaving Streeter sometime next week for their long journey here.
Thinking I might get the centres powder coated before they go on
Not much happening lately, summer arriving soon which sucks arse.
New Suzuki Sport mounts arrived today via Streeter, slightly harder than stock I believe.
Dropped off a box of stuff to the powdercoaters today, couple brackets on the engine, some light mounting ones and the front main member. Should be ready in a week or two.
Sent a request through to Streeter for a Suzuki Sport mount kit – replacements for all 4 mounts in the engine bay, pretty sure they are slightly firmer too.
Still no luck getting windscreen out, first place I made an appointment with (who never turned up) hasn’t contacted me. Sent a SMS to reschedule and no luck yet.
Another place further away quoted me cheap < lots with no real guesses as to time.
Found a new set of wind deflectors for the doors on Yahoo Auctions, sent a request off to a local place to see how much to get in with his next container – don’t think they’d survive a postal trip.
Oh, ordered some black silicon vacuum hose off eBay for all the cars.
Made my most expensive order to date with Streeter.
Soon to be on its way from Japan:
New outer tie-rods and a rack rebuild will mean a complete new front suspension setup
Newer model bumper has arrived from Japan, again via Streeter
The next model after the CM11V was with the new Kei specification, allowing an extra 100mm in the body length. Suzuki decided to put this entirely in the front and rear bumpers.
This bumper with combo lights + shipping was around the same price as getting 2x combo lights shipped separately from the auctions.
Later on I found out that as well as changing the combo light mounting, they also extended the bonnet.
Another day, another Japan order.
Streeter wins this one.
On it’s way soon are 2x JDM Sales Brochures,
- 1x 1988 Suzuki Alto Works – CL/CM11v
- 1x 1989 Suzuki Alto Works – CN/CP21S
Why? Shiny pictures, listing of options available including colours etc.
And because I can
Found a NOS (New Old Stock) front combination light on Yahoo Auctions Japan one late night, quick email to Jesse Streeter and eventually won.
Delivered to me for about $100AUD, instead of $240 New
